Regular Programme Supervision Conducted over Art Channel TV, Kompani 21-M TV, Nova TV and Shenja TV

Skopje, 13 April 2018 – The Agency conducted regular programme supervision over Art Channel TV, Kompani 21-M TV, Nova TV and Shenja TV, concerning their obligations to protect minors from programmes that may harm their physical, psychological or moral development; their observance of the rules on airing commercial communications, quizzes and other forms of prize-giving programme, as well as the use of value-added telephone services, televoting, and their airing of lottery games.

The supervision found that, on 13 March 2018, Kompani 21-M TV had aired the announcements on the “Kalbimdeki” and “Kara Sevda” serials’ installments without the warning signalization relating to minors’ protection, while the “Avenida Brazil” series’ instalment was aired at an inappropriate time of the day.

Also, on 14 March 2018, Art Channel TV had aired an installment of the “72 Hours True Crime” serial at an inappropriate time and without any warning signalization, and had failed to label appropriately, in terms of minors’ protection, the announcements of the “Friends” sitcom and “The Story of Tracy Beaker” series.
