Skopje, 12 January 2020 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services most strongly condemns the insults and threats addressed at journalist Meri Jordanovska and appeals to the competent institutions to investigate the case and take necessary action.
Media workers, i.e. the media, work in the interest of the public and are one of the key correctors and promoters of the democratic processes. Hence, any form of pressure, threats and attacks against journalists constitute jeopardizing of the freedom of expression and are absolutely unacceptable.
