The freedom of media must always be improved, because as the democratization itself, it is an endless process and should only be improved. Hence, the democratic societies should aim to establish framework conditions for encouraging and promoting of the freedom of expression and freedom of the media. The pluralism of the society must find its own reflection in the media pluralism and to act in favor of the public interest.
No matter of the ideology that the governments may have, they must clearly and concretely provide conditions for democratization of the commercial media and the public broadcasting service, even if it brings negative political points. One of the main pillars of the democratic societies is the freedom of media.
BC also encourages all the media to professionally and correctly report about the political activities during the pre elections period.
BC expects that Republic of Macedonia will meet the next International Day of Press Freedom with higher grades of the freedom of media.
