Skopje, 15.12.2015 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services prepared the Draft Methodology for Monitoring Election Media Coverage by the Radio and Television Programme Serviced during Election Processes, and calls on the media, political parties and all other interested entities to join in the public debate on the relevant draft-text.
According to the Law on Amending and Supplementing the Electoral Code, of 10 November 2015, the Agency has an obligation to adopt the Methodology within 60 days from the adoption of this Code, i.e. 8 January 2016.
Considering the tight deadlines for adopting the document, all interested parties may submit their opinions and commentaries regarding the draft text of the Methodology by 27 December 2015 at the latest.
In order to ensure maximum transparency of the process of the document’s adoption, as well as more opportunities for all relevant entities to join in the public debate, the Agency will present the Draft Methodology at its fourth public meeting scheduled on 22 December 2015, in the Agency’s premises.
