Skopje, 9 September 2016 – Acting upon a proposal submitted by the Ad-Hoc Committee for Monitoring Media Coverage, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services submitted a request to initiate a misdemeanor procedure in which the court would pronounce a misdemeanor sanction – a warning against the First Programming Service of the Macedonian Radio and Television.
The MRT1 committed the violation by broadcasting advertisements financed from the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia in its programme during the period from 2 until 5 September 2016, contrary to Article 75-e, Paragraph 4, of the Electoral Code.
