Skopje, 05.05.2017 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services conducted an ad hoc supervision over the programme of the “TELEVIZIJA NOVA DOOEL Skopje” Trade and Broadcasting Company which was broadcasted on 27 April 2017.
The supervision found that, in its reporting on the events that took place in the Parliament of RM, this television station did not abide by the professional principles of performing its activities, i.e. it did not ensure an objective and unbiased presentation of the developments, nor did it provide an equal treatment of the diverse viewpoints and opinions, so as to enable the audience to freely form its opinion regarding certain events and issues, This is contrary to Article 61, Paragraph 1, Indent 9, of the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services.
