Skopje, 19.07.2018 – Following the reactions of some of the photo-reporters, who were prevented from freely performing their professional tasks during yesterday’s meeting of the political party leaders at the Parliamentarians’ Club, the Agency appeals to find an appropriate way in which media workers would be allowed free access to all events of public interest, even in conditions when special security measures are involved.
Preserving the dignity of the journalistic profession is particularly important and, due to this, an arrogant and unbecoming behavior towards the media representatives is unacceptable.
Different media have different approach to forming the contents they place to the public, which can build its own standpoint only on the basis of diverse information. Considering all this, the Agency wishes to remind of the necessity to create conditions for the media workers to be able to perform their duties.
