Ad Hoc Supervision Conducted over TELMA TV on the Rules for Protecting Juvenile Audience

Skopje, 14 February 2019 – Acting upon a complaint received, the Agency conducted an ad hoc programme supervision over TELMA TV’s programme aired on 14, 15, 16, 17, 21 and 22 January 2019.

The supervision indicated that, contrary to the rules for protecting juvenile audience, the feature series titled “Animal Kingdom”, was aired on these days as a Third Category programme (12+), and at an inappropriate time of the day, before 22:00 hrs.

According to the criteria laid down in the Rulebook on Minors’ Protection, this series should be labeled as 4th Category programme (16+), which is not recommended for persons under 16 years of age and may be aired only in the period between from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
