Agency Refutes Allegations About High Percentage of Annulled Public Procurements

Skopje, 11 July 2019 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services refutes the claims by the Civil Communications Centre released on 9 July 2019 during the presentation of the third report under the project on “Monitoring the Efficiency, Effectiveness, Transparency and Accountability of Media Regulatory Authorities – PROformance Watch II”, that, when it comes to public procurement, the Agency “has manifested a high percentage of the most infamous annulments – the ones due to unacceptable offer,” and that it had annulled 40 % of its public procurements on these grounds. In 2018, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services carried out 30 public procurements. Of these, only 2 (two) public procurements were annulled due to unacceptable offers. Hence, it is completely untrue that the percentage of annulments is high, because, we repeat, only 2 (two) public procurements were annulled.

Presented in this way, the information mislead the public and create a wrong image about the institution that operates in tune with the valid legal regulations and regularly informs the public about its activities in order to ensure the greatest transparency possible.
