Skopje, 1 September 2021 – At today’s 24th session in 2021, the Agency Council adopted the Draft Guidelines on Paid Political Advertising for the 2021 Local Elections.
The Guidelines define the manner of implementing Article 75-f, Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Electoral Code for the local elections of members of the municipal councils and the Skopje City Council, as well as for mayors of the municipalities and mayor of the City of Skopje, in order to provide precise rules for the permitted duration of paid political advertising per real hour of programme aired by the radio and television channels.
The Agency calls on all registered political parties, independent mayoral candidates and candidates on the council lists, broadcasters and other interested parties, to take part in the public hearing by submitting their opinions in writing, electronically to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The public hearing is open until 16 September 2021.
