Agency Council Adopts Report on Paid Political Advertising for the Second Round of 2021 Local Election Campaign

Skopje, 18 November 2021 – At yesterday’s, 33rd, session, the Agency Council adopted the Report on Paid Political Advertising in Broadcasters’ Programmes during the Second Round of 2021 Local Election Campaign (from 18 to 29 October 2021).

The data in the Report were obtained through monitoring the paid political advertising (PPA) aired by a total of 48 broadcasters that had registered with the SEC PPA Register and had concluded agreements with the participants in the election campaign. Of these, 28 were television stations, while 20 were radio channels. Additionally, all data were checked through the procedure of verifying the reports on broadcasters’ realized services.

In the municipality of Debar, the second round of the election for Debar Mayor was held on 14 November 2021. Due to this, a separate Report on the PPA Aired in the Second Round of Mayoral Election in Debar Municipality was prepared, covering the period from 1 until 12 November 2021.

According to the Electoral Code, both Reports on Paid Political Advertising for the second round of the electoral campaign shall be submitted to the State Election Commission.
