Committee of Ministers’ Recommendation to the Member States on Measures concerning Media Coverage of Election Campaigns

Skopje, 5 July 2020 – Within the framework of the JUFREX project on “Freedom of Expression and Freedom of the Media in North Macedonia”, implemented by the Council of Europe, the Recommendation CM/Rec (2007) 15 by the Committee of Ministers to the Member States on Measures concerning Media Coverage of Election Campaigns has been translated into Macedonian.

The purpose of the Recommendation is to ensure fair, balanced and impartial reporting on the election campaigns, without discriminating against or supporting any particular political campaign or candidate. The principles of this Recommendation apply to all types of political elections held in the Member States, including presidential, parliamentary, and, where applicable, local elections and referenda.
