Skopje, 17 November 2021 – At today’s session, the Agency Council acknowledged the Information about granting a donation for the broadcasters by means of reducing their 2022 television or radio broadcasting fees, and concluded that it was necessary to grant financial aid (donation) to the broadcasters in 2022, by way of reducing the 2022 television or radio broadcasting fees for 50 %.
The Agency Council adopted a Draft 2022 Annual Plan for Conducting Programme Supervision, Draft 2022 Plan for Conducting Administrative Supervision, and a Draft 2022 Work Programme of the Agency (including a Draft Programme of Planned Activities and a Draft 2022 Financial Plan). A public hearing was opened for all three Draft Proposals, for the duration of 30 days.
The Council also looked into and adopted the Report on the Paid Political Advertising during the Second Round of the 2021 Local Elections Campaign, aired in the period from 18 until 19 October 2021.
The Agency Council adopted a Decision Endorsing Readjustment of the 2021 Financial Plan of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, and issued an approval to the Agency Director to conduct a procedure for awarding a public procurement contract for ICT equipment.
Based on supervision findings, the Agency Council initiated procedures for revoking the radio and television broadcasting licenses from TRD TV NOVA DOO Gevgelija and TRD Radio AKTUEL Bitola, due to their failure to meet the minimum staffing requirements defined in the Rulebook on Minimum Technical, Spatial, Financial and Staffing Requirements for Obtaining a Radio or Television Broadcasting License.
