Skopje, 22 December 2021 – At today’s session, the Agency Council adopted the 2022 Annual Plans for Performing Programme and Administrative Supervision and the 2022 Work Programme of the Agency (including the Programme of Planned Activities and the 2022 Financial Plan of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services).

The Agency Council issued an approval to the Director of the Agency to adopt a Decision on Granting Financial Aid (Donation) to the Broadcasters in 2022 in the amount of 50% of their license fees. The reduction of the license fee shall be calculated only for those broadcasters (both commercial and non-profit) that, at the moment of reaching this Decision, have possessed licenses for television or radio broadcasting on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia.

As regards the notification about change in the ownership structure of TRD SITI Television DOOEL Skopje, the Agency Council adopted a Decision allowing the change.

Based on the findings obtained through regular programme and administrative supervision, indicating violations, the Agency Council issued public warning measures against: 1. TRD GURRA DOOEL Kichevo, for failing to air at least 30% of programme originally created as Macedonian audiovisual works, and to air at least half of the legal minimum of originally created programme in the period from 7:00 hrs until 19.00 hrs, as well as due to failure to make certain information accessible to its users, and 2. TRD G-TV Television DOOEL Gostivar, for failing to air at least 30% of programme originally created as Macedonian audiovisual works, and to air at least half of the legal minimum of originally created programme in the period from 7:00 hrs until 19.00 hrs, for airing programme without the appropriate programme rating label, broadcasting at an inappropriate period of the day, and failing to provide adequate translation into Albanian, Macedonian or Turkish – the languages ​​in which this media outlet broadcasts programme in accordance with its license.
