October 02, 2012 BC urges the Media to report in a Professional Manner

Skopje, October 02, 2012 – The Broadcasting Council (BC) urges the media to keep to the professional journalistic standards and principles and to avoid sensationalism in their reporting.

The Broadcasting Law, with the program standards, demands the broadcasters in their programming to support the spirit of tolerance, mutual respect between the individuals from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, to motivate cooperation and to develop a public feeling for righteousness and protection of the democratic freedoms.

BC expects from the media professionals to publish double checked information.
