Skopje, 25 December 2020 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services held its last public meeting for this year, today, which was conducted online using a videoconferencing  link due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. At the meeting, Agency Director Dr. Zoran Trajcevski made a summary of the activities realized in accordance with the Annual Work Programme in the past three months

Skopje, 23 December 2020 – Under the Council of Europe and the European Union’s joint programme, on the “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”, and its regional action on “Freedom of Expression and Freedom of the Media in South-East Europe (JUFREX)”, the two institutions published a study titled “Political Advertising: A Comparative Study with reflections on the Situation in Southeast European Countries”

2020 Early Local Elections: Monitoring Results

Skopje, 23 December 2020 –  Based on its monitoring over the broadcasters during the Early Mayoral Elections in the municipalities of Shtip and Plasnica, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services prepared two reports – one from monitoring the media coverage of the elections, and the other – on the paid political advertising during the campaign (21 November – 10 December 2020)

Skopje, 22 December 2020 – Based on the obligation under Article 76-e, Paragraph 7, of the Electoral Code, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services submitted to the State Election Commission a Report on the Paid Political Advertising Aired by the Broadcasters, which had been adopted by the Agency Council yesterday, at its 46th session in 2020
