AAAVMS AND FOOD AND VETERINARY AGENCY SIGN MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

Skopje, 14 April 2021 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services and the Food and Veterinary Agency signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, regarding advertising, teleshopping, product placement and sponsorship of food and nutritional supplements as part of the radio and television programmes, especially in relation to claims concerning health and nutrition, claims about reduced risks of illness, and food-related frauds.

Skopje, 25 March 2021 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services held a public meeting today. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the meeting was held using video conference connection. At the meeting, the Director of the Agency, Dr. Zoran Trajchevski, presented a summary of the activities implemented in the past three months in line with the Agency’s Annual Work Programme.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO COMPENSATE FUNDS PAID AS RA AND TV BROADCASTING LICENSE FEES

Skopje, 2 March 2021 – Based on the Decision of the Government under the fifth package of economic measures providing financial assistance to broadcasters in the amount of MKD 50,000,000.00, at yesterday’s session, the Council of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services decided to suspend all initiated procedures for revoking licenses due to failures to pay the annual radio and television broadcasting fees. At the same time, it was decided not to initiate new revocing procedures for non-payment of the 2021 license fees.
