Skopje,14.04.2016 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services condemns the violence against journalists during yesterday’s protests and considers these acts as direct attacks on the freedom of the media and the right of the public to be informed.
We call on all parties involved in the protests to let the journalists pursue their professional activities unhindered, as their work is of utmost importance at times of crucial social and political developments as these.
At the same time, we expect the journalists and the media to manifest professional responsibility and observe the journalist principles and standards in their reporting.
