Skopje, 26.07.2017 – The Kanal Vis TV from Strumica notified the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services that their journalist crew, who had followed yesterday’s session of the Novo Selo Municipal Council, had not only been hindered in performing their professional duty but had also been exposed to verbal threats.
As many times so far, the Agency condemns all forms of pressure and insults against journalists and media workers and appeals once more for respect for both the dignity of journalist profession and the personal dignity of media professionals. At the same time, the Agency wishes to remind that the provision of conditions for the media’s unhindered functioning is the sine qua non of the functioning and development of any democratic society.
