Monitoring Report on Election Media Coverage by Gurra TV

Skopje, 7 October 2025 – During the monitoring of election-related media coverage on Gurra TV’s programming on 30 September, and 2, 3, and 4 October 2025 – during the first round of the 2025 Local Elections – the Agency found that during several clock hours of broadcasting, this media outlet had exceeded the legally permitted limits for paid political advertising, thus violating the Electoral Code.

By airing paid political advertisements for the VLEN Coalition, TV Gurra had exceeded the legal limit of no more than 4 minutes (240 seconds) per clock hour allocated to the two largest ruling political parties based on the number of votes received in the most recent parliamentary elections.

Likewise, by broadcasting paid political advertisements for the National Alliance for Integration (NAI) coalition, this media outlet exceeded the same limit applicable to the two largest opposition parties, as defined by the results of the last parliamentary elections.
