Skopje, 6 November 2025 – Pursuant to Article 76-e, Paragraph 8 of the Electoral Code, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMU) has submitted to the State Election Commission its Report on the Paid Political Advertising by Broadcasters during the first round of the election campaign for the 2025 Local Elections, held from 29 September to 17 October 2025.
The data in the Report were obtained through monitoring of the paid political advertising aired by the radio and television stations and were further verified through the process of confirming broadcasters’ reports on the services provided.
Out of 75 broadcasters (33 television stations and 42 radio stations) registered in the State Election Commission’s Register for broadcasting paid political advertising (PPA) for the 2025 Local Elections, a total of 68 — 33 television and 35 radio stations — had signed contracts with participants in the election campaign during the first round.
Across all 33 television stations, a total of 377 hours, 20 minutes, and 10 seconds of paid political advertising were aired, while all 35 radio stations broadcast 185 hours, 17 minutes, and 43 seconds of PPA. In total, 562 hours, 37 minutes, and 53 seconds of paid political advertising were broadcast across both radio and television.
Among the nine national television stations that had signed contracts for airing PPA, the largest advertising volumes were recorded with Kanal 5 TV (41 hours, 7 minutes, 53 seconds), Alsat-M TV (34 hours, 54 minutes, 29 seconds), and Kompani 21-M (27 hours, 3 minutes, 57 seconds). All four national radio stations had signed PPA contracts, with the most advertising time recorded on Antena 5 TV (14 hours, 8 minutes, 27 seconds) and Kanal 77 (9 hours, 49 minutes, 40 seconds).
