The operators of public communication networks re-transmit audio-visual content (television and radio content, audio and video services on demand, pay-TV, etc.) using different telecommunication platforms (analog or digital (DVB-C)), coaxial or optical cables, copper telephone wires (IPTV), wireless digital terrestrial (DVB-T) or satellite (DVB-S) networks and other, to the end user – public.
No matter which platform is used for content delivery or whether the transmission is analog or digital, the operators of public communication networks must registry their program packages at the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services. In this way the regulation body for audio-visual content – Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services – protects the copyrights of the audio-visual content and assures pluralistic environment and program diversity of the audio-visual content, which is re-transmitted through the public communication networks.
