12.07.2011 BC is strengthening the Cooperation with the Independent Media Commission of Republic of Kosovo

SKOPJE, 07.11.2011 – Digitalization of the broadcasting, methodologies for monitoring of the programming, copyright protection, implementation of IPA funded projects were in the focus of today’s meeting between delegation of Kosovo’s Independent Commission for Media, led bu Ms. Naile Krasniqi, hosted by the Broadcasting Council.

The meeting was chaired by the BC Deputy President, MSc Milaim Fetai, who emphasized that the current cooperation between the two countries can still be further improved in the media field. “We have a lot of joint issues in the sector of media regulation, which demand same or similar solutions, so the experience we have as BC as one of the oldest media regulation authorities in the region, will help our colleagues from Kosovo to build up an effective system for media regulation, which will contribute to the general efforts, aimed to improve the media freedom.” – said MSc. Fetai.

The Kosovo delegation also had an opportunity to talk to the heads of the sectors within BC’s Professional Staff in order to get acquainted with the direct implementation of the Broadcasting Law and the by-laws.
