On 11 and 12 November 2013, the Broadcasting Council conducted a training of inspectors of the Ministry of Interior from Skopje and the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, who participate in the activities of the Intellectual Property Coordination Body, established by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
The topic of the training, followed by mutual exchange of experiences and opinions, were the technical and legal issues related to the monitoring of the work of public communication networks operators and their misdemeanour and criminal liability for infringement of copyright and related rights.
The President of the Council, PhD Zoran Trajchevski and the Deputy Director of the State Office of Industrial Property, MA Mite Kostov, pointed out the numerous and successful activities of the Council and the Ministry of Interior, as members of the Coordination Body, in the prevention and sanctioning of violations of the copyright and related rights in the broadcasting area.
