Skopje, 1 September 2016 – The Council of the Agency decided, at its 30th session today, to revoke the Methodology for Monitoring Media Coverage of the Forthcoming 2016 Early Parliamentary Elections by the Radio and Television Programming Services, adopted on 26 August 2016, in accord with the 31 August 2016 Agreement of the four largest parliamentary political parties. The Methodology had been prepared in line with the latest, August 2016, amendments to the Electoral Code.
The monitoring of the media coverage of elections, which starts on 2 September, will be conducted in line with the Methodology for Monitoring Media Coverage of Elections by the Radio and Television Programming Services during Electoral Processes. This Methodology, which was adopted in January 2016, is a universal document that applies to all elections – both presidential, parliamentary and local.
