Skopje, 15 November 2016 – With regard to the messages announced as part of the campaign “We Decide”, the Ad Hoc Committee for Monitoring Media Coverage wishes to underline the following: Starting out from the obligation to abide by the Electoral Code and ensure a positive climate for fair and democratic elections, the Ad Hoc Committee calls on the citizen associations and the broadcasters to respect the spirit and the letter of the Electoral Code.
The Ad Hoc Committee respects the right of the citizen organizations to organize campaigns of public interest aimed at educating the citizens, however, in this they should make sure that their messages not be identified with the messages of the participants in the electoral process.
