14.03.2017 – The 13th Subcommittee on Innovations, Information Society and Social Policy was held in Brussels today. At this Subcommittee, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Servicespresented its activities, in line with the media-related legislation and the Electoral Code.
The conclusions of the European Commission arising from the Subcommittee specify that the Agency shall continue to ensure independence, predictability and transparency as a media regulator, particularly bearing in mind its importance as a body that guarantees one of the basic rights essential to the rule of law, as well as that the Agency will be following actively the revision of the AVMS Directive.
