SKOPJE, 23.08.2011 – Television B92 from Belgrade, R.Serbia delivered a notice to the Broadcasting Council (BC) to withdraw the given authority for broadcasting of the television programme service B92 over the public broadcasting networks in Republic of Macedonia,
due to inability to ensure compliance with the licensing rights of the programs in other way, which this broadcaster has on the territory of Republic Serbia.
The BC initiated to operators of public broadcasting networks (cable operators, DVB-T, IPTV), to turn off the television service B92 from their registered packets of programme services, actually to not retransmit it.
Violating the order given from the BC initiates misdemeanor, criminal and civil responsibility, according to the Broadcasting Law and The Law for Authors and Related Rights.
