July 2, 2013 – A meeting was held with the operators of public communication networks that do not use a limited resource and TV stations at the state, regional and local level

Skopje, July 2, 2013 Upon initiative of the Broadcasting Council a meeting was held which was attended by representatives of the Agency for Electronic Communications, Digi Plus Multimedia (Boom), Makedonski Telekom, SIZ MK Net, Group Maktelko – Bitola, representatives of operators of public communication networks and television stations.

The purpose of the meeting was to open a broader discussion about the various problems faced by television stations and operators of public communication network after the disconnection of the analogue signal and the introduction of a digital television signal. Specifically, it was discussed about the technical, financial and other conditions contained in the offered and concluded broadcasting contracts between individual operators of public communication networks that do not use limited resources and some regional and local television stations, as well as problems in the coverage of the Republic Macedonia with a digital terrestrial television signal via digital terrestrial multiplexes.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Broadcasting Council, PhD Zoran Trajchevski and the Director of the Agency for Electronic Communications Mr. Robert Ordanovski urged attendees, if they consider that an entity violates the provisions of the Law Amending the Law on Broadcasting (digitisation of the television signal) to refer to the Agency for Electronic Communications and the Broadcasting Council.
