UNESCO dedicated the World Radio Day, 13 February, in 2014 to “Gender equality and strengthening women through the radio.” The aim is to raise the awareness on the issues of gender equality in and through the radio, as well.
The Broadcasting Council invites all broadcasters which were included in the “world map of leading radio programmes on gender” and have radio programmes that deal with gender and gender equality , to inform the Broadcasting Council , no later than 10 December 2013 . If the programme has been posted on the website of the broadcasters, they should send the link to it or to inform us if there is a web streaming, or submit to us an audio document in mp3 format.
