Skopje, 04.02.2016 – Today, on the International Day of Elections, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services and the State Election Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The basic goals of the this document are exchange of information, mutual assistance through providing expert advice, cooperation in acting upon presentations and complaints and concrete projects that are in favour of the mutual interests of the Commission and the Agency, as well as Activities directed towards raising the level of observance of the election regulations.
The Memorandum has resulted from the amendments to the Electoral Code, in line with which, as the Agency Director Mr. Zoran Trajcevski, Ph.D., said, both institutions were directed at closer mutual cooperation, exchange of experiences and information relating to the forthcoming electoral process.
The signed Memorandum defines, among other things, the scope and dynamics of reporting on possible violations of the Electoral Code on the broadcasters’ part.
