Skopje, 20.05.2016 – Ninth-grade students of the “Brakja Miladinovci” Elementary School in Skopje paid a visit to the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services today, as part of their civic education classes. During their visit, they had an opportunity to learn about the Agency’s organization, competences and operation in practice.
Using a graphic presentation adjusted to their age, the students were informed about the procedure of granting radio and television broadcasting licenses, the manner of conducting supervision, the protection of minors, and the Agency’s projects of wider public interest related to the activities for promoting the development of media literacy, monitoring treatment of gender in the media, ensuring media accessibility for persons with sensory impairments, etc.
The Agency welcomes the students’ initiative and pro-activity in gaining new knowledge and remains open to cooperation with all universities and schools that are interested in sharing experiences in the sphere of media and media-related regulation.
