Skopje, 4 October 2016 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services conducted regular, control and ad hoc programme, as well as control administrative supervision over the work of 5 broadcasters, in terms of their observance of several articles of the Law of Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (LAAVMS) and the Media Law, as follows: regular programme supervision over 24 Vesti TV and ART TV, regarding observance of their obligation under Article 91, Paragraph 2 of the LAAVMS; control programme supervision over Shutel TV (regarding Article 92, Paragraph 14 of the LAAVMS – i.e. broadcasting half of the programme originally created in the RM during the period from 7:00 until 19:00 hrs), Hana TV (regarding Article 92, Paragraphs 1 and 14 – obligations to broadcast programme originally created in the RM; Article 64, Paragraph 3 – broadcasting language of the foreign programmes, and Article 100, Paragraph 1 – advertising limits, under the LAAVMS); and control administrative supervision over Hana TV and Ultra TV, regarding Article 51, Paragraph 1 of the LAAVMS (information that should be made available to the users), and Shutel TV, regarding Article 14 of the Law on Media (the Impressum).
Also conducted was ad hoc programme supervision over Shutel TV in terms of observing Article 92, Paragraph 1 of the LAAVMS, i.e. broadcasting daily at least 50 % of programme originally created in the RM in the Romanian and Macedonian languages.
