Skopje, 13.02.2017 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services conducted regular programme supervision over the work of the Makedonska Radiotelevizija (Macedonian Radio and Television) – MRT, and an ad hoc programme supervision over the work of TV Sitel 3 DOOEL Skopje.
The regular supervision over the Public Broadcaster found that the latter had met in full its obligation under Article 92, Paragraphs 8 and 9 of the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, to produce and air at least 30 hours of domestic documentary and feature programmes in the period from 07:00 until 23:00 hrs during the day, by 25 November 2016 at the latest.
The ad hoc programme supervision over TV Sitel 3 DOOEL Skopje, conducted as part of the Agency’s official duty, found that violation had been committed against Article 64, Paragraph 3 (aired contents in English without a translation in the Macedonian language), and Article 61, Paragraph 1, Indents 1, 2, 3 and 6 (principles for performing the business activity), of the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services.
