Skopje, 13 February 2019 – The eighth World Radio Day, which is marked on this day under the UNESCO auspices, this year is celebrated internationally under the motto “Dialogue, Tolerance and Peace”.
Radio, as an universal medium that reaches various communities and marginalized groups, is the perfect platform for educating, encouraging public debates, as well as fighting against violence and conflicts.
The power of the radio lies in its sound, but also in the silence. By informing and educating, this powerful tool brings down the barriers, at the same time uniting and promoting changes.
The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services congratulates the World Radio Day to all radio stations in the Republic of Macedonia and invites them to mark this date in an appropriate way, through debates and discussions.
