Skopje, 19 October 2021 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services condemns the insults that independent mayoral candidate for Kichevo municipality Fatmir Limani expressed in public against a female reporter of TV 21, during her coverage of the local elections.
It is extremely important to allow journalists to perform their professional tasks smoothly and safely with the aim of informing the public in a timely and accurate manner. Instead of disparaging and uttering insults, one should show respect for the journalistic profession and media workers’ dignity.
