Skopje, 20 November 2021 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services perceives the conduct of the security staff of the City Trade Center (GTC) and their attempt to remove the journalists while reporting on the meeting with the owners of the GTC stores, who seek an investigation into the cryptocurrency case, as extremely inappropriate.
Investigative journalism is the essence of journalists’ profession and is crucial in performing the media role in modern democracies.
Journalists’ most important task is to inform about current events, due to which they should be allowed to report smoothly on topics that are of public interest.
