Skopje, 5 April 2024 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services condemns yesterday’s verbal attack on the reporter and the cameraman of 24 Vesti TV by an unidentified person, during the VMRO/DPMNE’s party rally.
The Agency has reacted against such cases on several occasions so far and wishes to remind again that an attack on journalists of any kind is absolutely unacceptable and that journalist workers must not be hindered while performing their professional tasks.
Also, journalists’ safety must not be jeopardized at any moment, nor the right of citizens to be informed, especially about important social and political events, such as elections.
