Skopje, 15 June 2026 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services expresses concern over the use of vulgar, offensive, and degrading language, as well as inappropriate gestures in the podcast “Teshki Muabeti” with Mechka and Micho, published on the YouTube platform.
Freedom of expression and the right to criticism are fundamental democratic values, and their exercise must be protected. At the same time, this manner of expression, accompanied by disparaging remarks and gestures that fall short of the standards of respectful public communication, does not contribute to informed and constructive debate on issues of public interest.
The Agency wishes to remind that fostering a culture of dialogue and maintaining dignity in public discourse is a shared responsibility of all participants in public life. In this regard, it encourages online content creators, as important actors in today’s media ecosystem, to use their platforms to contribute to the development of a democratic and responsible communication culture based on mutual respect and an informed exchange of ideas.
