The Broadcasting Council congratulates on the World Television Day

Skopje November 21, 2013 Considering the role and impact of television on making important decisions on economic and social issues, issues related to conflicts and threats to peace and security on a global level, the General Assembly of the United Nations, by the Resolution 51/205 dated 14 December 1996, declared this day, 21 November a World Television Day.

In the years, since its emergence until today, television has become one of the most influential media, that is offered to the audience of all ages, nationalities and social status worldwide.

The Broadcasting Council congratulates all TV stations on the World Television Day and recommends to all media, if there is such a possibility, to mark this day by focusing on the importance of television in fostering freedom of expression, dissemination of information and knowledge and the preservation and promotion of cultural diversity.
