Skopje, 29 September 2022 – Considering the current developments resulting from the energy crisis and the considerable increase in the electricity prices, which directly affects the functioning and the economic viability of the broadcasters, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services will provide financial assistance, i.e. a donation to the broadcasters, which will be realized by means of reducing their radio and television broadcasting license fees for 2023.
Bearing in mind the Agency’s financial capacities, the reduction shall be 25% of the amount of the license fees, calculated using the formula laid down in the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services.
The Agency hopes that with this donation it will contribute to overcoming the consequences of the current energy crisis and to the broadcasters’ smooth operation in the coming year.
