Skopje, 12 May 2026 – The Director of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, Zoran Trajchevski, PhD, and the President of the National Council for Road Traffic Safety, Goran Angelovski, M.A, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, establishing an institutional framework for joint activities aimed at improving road safety and raising public awareness of responsible participation in traffic.
The Memorandum envisages cooperation between the two institutions in the implementation of information and educational campaigns, coordinated initiatives, and activities aimed at raising public awareness, with the goal of reducing the risks and consequences of traffic accidents and enhancing the protection of citizens’ lives and health.
Particular focus will be placed on the development and advancement of traffic education and preventive road safety activities, initiating measures to improve safety on roads and streets, monitoring and analysing traffic conditions, and supporting campaigns aimed at promoting safe behaviour in traffic.
The Memorandum is based on the statutory competences and obligations of the two institutions arising from the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, the Media Law, the Road Traffic Safety Law, and other relevant primary and secondary legislation.
