ADMINISTRATIVE COURT ALSO DISMISSES LEVICA’S LAWSUIT AGAINST AVMU

Skopje, 9 October 2025 – At a session held on 6 October 2025, The Administrative Court issued a ruling dismissing the lawsuit filed by the Levica political party, which sought to annul the Guidelines for Broadcasters for the 2025 Local Elections, adopted by the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMU)

COURT REJECTS PART OF LEVICA’S LAWSUIT AGAINST AVMU

Skopje, 8 October 2025On 3 October 2025, the First-Instance Civil Court in Skopje issued a Ruling rejecting as unfounded the motion in the lawsuit filed by the political party of Levica against the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMU). The motion requested a temporary measure that would prohibit the Agency from distributing the Guidelines for Broadcasters for the 2025 Local Elections to commercial media outlets, and submitting the report on broadcast paid political advertising (PPA) to the State Election Commission (SEC), which uses that report as the basis for allocating and disbursing funds for PPA

Monitoring Report on Election Media Coverage by Gurra TV

Skopje, 7 October 2025 – During the monitoring of election-related media coverage on Gurra TV’s programming on 30 September, and 2, 3, and 4 October 2025 – during the first round of the 2025 Local Elections – the Agency found that during several clock hours of broadcasting, this media outlet had exceeded the legally permitted limits for paid political advertising, thus violating the Electoral Code
