Public Debate on the Draft-Guidelines for Monitoring Programming Concept Implementation

The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services held a public debate in the period from 23 until 30 April 2018, concerning the Draft-Guidelines for Monitoring the Implementation of the Programming Concept. It called on all interested parties to take part in the public debate on this document. They were to send their opinions and proposals electronically, to the following e-mail address: contact@avmu.mk

The need for these Guidelines arose from the ad hoc supervision conducted to monitor the observance of Article 67, Paragraph 6, of the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, which stipulates that broadcasters are obligated to fulfill 80 % of their programming concepts, for which they have received their radio or television broadcasting licenses, within one week’s time.

The supervisions had shown that it was necessary to explain how it would be calculated if a broadcaster had fulfilled 8-% of its programming concept during one week.
